THE VERY FIRST MEETINGS OF THE CONSTABLE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN READ AS FOLLOWS:
The First Meeting was held on October 22, 1951.
Officially named the Constable Volunteer Firemen. Harold R Fleury appointed chairman and Robert Fleury as secretary of the meeting. Appointed Chief was Fred Florio, by unanimous vote. Appointed Assistant Chief was Eldred Fleury, by unanimous vote. Appointed Treasurer was William McGeachie, by unanimous vote.
The town board to furnish initial truck, tank and pump plus heated storage for same.
Discussion on pump types, nothing decided.
Insurance for Volunteer's discussed.
Milford Sullivan to be asked to join before next meeting.
Nelson Slocum appointed driver.
Siren to be placed on Town Hall. Switch to be enclosed in box with telephone on outside of building.
Cards to be made up with phone numbers of all Firemen listed. These to be delivered house to house throughout the Town by the Volunteers. This will be a means of imforming the people of what we are trying to do and also give everyone a chance to donate to the cause.
Next meeting to be held in the same place on December 6, 1951.

Procure cards from American Legion for notification of meetings etc. to members.
Motion made and seconded to contact taxpayers on signing petition and to ask for donations and /or pledges to the organization.

Northwest: Beginning at Talon's store down the State route to Trout River and Westville Road, Hughes road, Sand St., O'Connell road, Eldred Fleury, Lawrence Fleury, Milford Sullivan.
Southwest: Constable-- Westville Road starting at Harold Stewart's, Dinnen road, Mrs. Taylor road, Town line road to Lawrence Barney, Willard Badore road, Washburn road, Harold L Fleury and Otto Parin.
Southeast: Beginning at Tallon's house--Maple St. to Town line, Irish St., and William's road, the Chateaugay Cement road and the County road: Fred Florio and George Williams.

The Third meeting was held on December 17, 1951.

59.5% of assed[sic] valuation have signed petition.
Solicitors turned in money and pledges from canvas. Money and pledges counted and accepted. Motion to accept as is by J Harold Stewart and seconded by Nelson Slocum.
Motion made and seconded to invite Graham Fire and Engine Co. and get the details on equipment available in 1500 to 3500 class.
Motion made by J Harold Stewart to get legal advice as needed to explain technicalities of laws pertaining to fire district etc., seconded by Fred Florio.
Petitions to be presened to Town Board for approval.
Chairman to get legal advise[sic] on what the Town Board can do.
Motion made by Milford Sullivan and seconded by J. Harold Stewart to use Citizens Bank for business, in the name of William McGeachie, Treasurer of the Constable Fire Protection Association.

The Fourth meeting was held on January 2, 1952.
Motion made by Peter Fountain for the Town Board to contribute $ 500.00 annually for a five year period. Seconded by William McGeachie.
Motion made and seconded by Wayne Fleury and Don Harwood to accept Harold Fleury's motion to appoint 5 or 6 men to present the problem of money to the Town Board: Appointees: J Harold Stewart, spokesman; William McGeachie, Treasurer; Harold R Fleury; George Williams; Jon D Shea; Steve Washburn; James Dibble.
Motion made by William Fleury Jr. and seconded by Harold L Fleury to prepare a statement to present to the Town Board in respect to the amount of money to be raised.
Motion made to send Robert Fleury, William McGeachie, John Shea, and Harold Fleury to Boston to see the truck on January 13th. Money to be furnished for our down payment. We are to use our best judgement on this equipment. Motion made and seconded to furnish expenses by WIlliam McGeachie.

Motion was made to have Harold Stewart contact Carl Wilbur on Oyster supper. Get menu made out and determine price of tickets for the 15th of February. Get opinion on price.

Motion made and seconded that Harold R Fleury act as chairman of this meeting.
Cards to be sold at clothes check paint on socks. 52 cards at $.75. Lawrence Barney to furnish socks.
Appointment---three men to check coats, Mickey Connors, Bud Fountain, Lloyd Fleury.
Motion made and seconded that Lawrence Barney, Peter Fountain, and Robert Fleury be appointed to work Friday afternoon also Harold Stewart.
William McGeachie appointed to sell tickets at the door.
Harold Stewart appointed to handle money on supper, pay bills, and turn balance over to the treasurer.

The Eighth meeting was held March 6th, 1952.

Read letters from Buffalo and Adams, N.Y., concerning trucks.
George Williams made motion and seconded by Henry Maloney to purchase stationary and envelopes from Eldred Fleury for $5.00. To be ordered by Robert Fleury.
Report on supper--net profit $ 212.55. Money turned over to treasurer. 205 dinners served. Money received as is and checked by treasurer.
Motion made and seconded to accept receipts and records as is.
Motion made by George Williams and seconded to have all officers attend open hearing Monday 13th and sign contract at that time.
Motion made by William McGeachie and seconded by Fred Florio to appoint J Harold Stewart as President of Association, effective this date. All voted in favor.
Original comittee to attend public hearing on March 13th.
Motion made by William McGeachie and seconded by Fred Florio that any 4 members will be allowed to spend up to $50.00 for incidentals without holding a meeting.
The Ninth meeting was held March 14, 1952.
Reason for meting[sic}-- to have the members agree to incorporate so that the Corporation can enter into a contract with the Town.
Board resolution made by George Williams and seconded by Fred Florio to incorporate Constable Volunteer Firemen's Association under the laws of New York State,-- Unanimous vote.
Meeting called for Tuesday night at 8 pm at Town Hall.

Motion to vote by secret ballot on this issue by Lawrence Barney seconded by Robert Fleury.
Vote unanimous to spend $400.00 on auxiliary truck. Buy $ 85.00 pump --etc.
Motion made by Harold Stewart and seconded by George Williams to have Harold Fleury continue the work on auxiliary truck in the amount of $400.00.
Discussion on means of raising more money.
Spaghetti dinner for Thursday the 24th of April. J Harold Stewart appointed to handle tickets.
Motion made by Doug Fleury to limit the times to three that any member can miss a meeting without a legitimate excuse. After that he will be dropped from the rolls and a new name added, seconded by Otto Parin.
